OUR COMPANY

Famiglia Chiari srl has been founded in Bologna (Northern Italy) by Mr. Rino Chiari at the end of the 1960ies.

Target: to distribute artisanal cheese, offering a daily logistic service with a qualified range of selected fresh products.

Through the years, also the sons Stefano and Gabriele have joined the company and Famiglia Chiari has bought substantial shares (up to 100%) in the dairies with which the company cooperates and, by organizing and managing the activities with a precise vision of entrepreneurship, the products are sold throughout the Italian Market.

With this strategy, Famiglia Chiari has obtained the control of the whole production chain and created in all its own production units a common culture of doing business.

The products with the brand “Vecchia Malga” are present all over Italy, with a strong and consolidated presence in the most important Italian distribution chains, in particular in the “fresh specialties counter” , but also in the self service area.

Further to the retail distribution, Famiglia Chiari sells its products also to the board catering and it is official supplier of the Amerigo Vespucci, the famous school ship of the Italian Military Academy.

NEWS:
On 17 th December 2005, Famiglia Chiari has opened the new shop branded “VECCHIA MALGA” in the International Bologna airport Guglielmo Marconi, introducing the Tradition of creativity, of quality and of innovation in a prestigeous International showcase.

On 29 th April 2006, Famiglia Chiari becomes the “gastronomical protagonist” in occasion of the opening of the flight connection Bologna – Hamburg.
